Go-to-Market Kickoff
Turn a committed go-to-market choice into a practical, capacity-bounded operating manual. This is an internal planning method. It proposes work, budgets, outreach drafts, and operating cadence; it does not send outreach, buy tools, publish, or update a CRM or project ledger.
Preconditions and intake
Use one to three committed market or campaign plans. Each should state buyer, positioning, channels, pricing or economics assumptions, capacity, and stop criteria. If the team has not made the underlying market choice, produce an exploratory plan labeled as such rather than treating it as committed.
Confirm the planning horizon, owners and weekly availability, cash envelope, and any non-negotiable delivery capacity. Preserve sources for external facts such as pricing, partner eligibility, or benchmarks; cite them inline and in a Sources section.
Workflow
1. **Summarize the commitment.** State the markets, owners, deferred choices, assumptions, and decisions to settle at kickoff. 2. **Set outcomes and economics.** Reconcile signed work, proposals, conversations, activity, cash, and milestones with source plans. Show floor, target, and stretch values without presenting estimates as facts. 3. **Check capacity.** Allocate available hours across prospecting, conversations, proposals, delivery, content or partner work, and review. Flag a plan that consumes nearly all available capacity before any delivery slack exists. 4. **Define operating principles and ownership.** Specify buyer triggers, quality over volume, credibility-building, and evidence required to change the motion. Assign accountable owners and shared review duties. 5. **Build the operating system.** Propose the smallest tool and budget set, qualifying filters, outreach and discovery drafts, proposal milestones, and channel-specific activities. Treat all outbound copy as a draft pending the host's approval and sending workflow. 6. **Set cadence and measurement.** Provide a weekly schedule, scorecard, review agenda, and a 30/60/90-day calendar. Name the owner of any CRM, calendar, or project-system update rather than writing it. 7. **Define pivots.** Give explicit continue, reduce, pause, and change conditions tied to observable evidence and the cash/capacity envelope.

Quality rules
- Reconcile all totals; do not hide a plan that exceeds capacity or budget.
- Keep outbound, tool acquisition, publishing, and system writes proposal-only.
- Preserve upstream uncertainty and state what evidence would resolve it.
- Do not turn a screening hypothesis into an operational commitment.
