Social content

Create, repurpose, schedule, and optimize social media content for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reels, Shorts, carousels, threads, and content calendars. Use whenever the user asks for LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads, social media strategy, content calendar, engagement, viral content, what to post, repurposing, tweet ideas, LinkedIn carousel, short-form video scripts, Reels, Shorts, TikTok scripts, video hooks, or growing a following. For broader marketing strategy use /marketing-ideas; for paid ad copy use /ad-creative.

# Social Content

Use this skill to turn business context, existing content, or a rough idea into social content that is specific enough to publish and useful enough to create learnings for `/marketing-learning-loop`.

The best social content is not created from nothing. It is extracted from real expertise, calls, customer questions, demos, notes, newsletters, talks, and failures.

Context Loading

Before asking questions, check whether one of these files exists and read it:

  1. `.agents/product-marketing-context.md`
  2. `.claude/product-marketing-context.md`
  3. `./references/dependencies/conversint-current/references/patrick-outreach-voice.md` when writing in Patrick's voice
  4. `./references/dependencies/conversint-current/references/thought-leadership-voice.md` when repurposing Conversint long-form writing

For Conversint-branded posts, also read `./references/dependencies/conversint-current/references/marketing-message-governance.md`, `./references/dependencies/conversint-current/references/org/positioning.md`, and `./references/dependencies/conversint-current/references/org/anti-patterns.md` so the post respects what owners built, names the goal actually supported by context, and does not turn "handoff" into a generic diagnosis. Validate the active-message catalog when a post adapts a current campaign message.

Ask only for missing context that affects the content.

Intake

If not clear, ask for:

  • Platform and format
  • Goal: awareness, traffic, leads, community, recruiting, authority, or event promotion
  • Audience and buyer awareness stage
  • Voice: founder, company, expert, casual, provocative, educational
  • Source material to repurpose, if any
  • Time horizon: one post, weekly plan, monthly calendar, launch sequence

If the user asks for immediate content, make assumptions and deliver drafts instead of over-interviewing.

Workflow

  1. **Identify the content job.** Is this meant to teach, provoke, announce, nurture, convert, recruit, or build trust?
  2. **Choose the format.** Use platform norms from `./references/platforms.md` and limits from `./references/platform-limits.md`.
  3. **Extract the strongest atom.** Prefer one clear idea, story, mistake, framework, result, or contrast.
  4. **Write for the platform.** Adapt hook, length, CTA, pacing, and visual structure.
  5. **Offer variants.** Provide 2-3 hooks or angle variants when useful.
  6. **Give scheduling guidance.** If this is part of a cadence, place it in a simple calendar with content pillars.
  7. **Define the learning.** State what performance or audience response should be recorded in `/marketing-learning-loop`.

Content Pillars

Default to 3-5 pillars:

  • Industry insight or market shift
  • Practical education or framework
  • Customer/problem stories
  • Behind the scenes or build-in-public
  • Point of view or myth-busting
  • Light promotion or offer

Keep promotional posts to a minority of the calendar unless the user is in a launch window.

Output Modes

Single Post

```markdown ## Draft [post]
## Alternate Hooks 1. ... 2. ...
## Suggested Visual [image/carousel/video idea] ```
Content Calendar
```markdown ## Weekly Calendar | Day | Platform | Pillar | Post idea | Format | CTA | |---|---|---|---|---|---| ```

Repurposing

```markdown ## Content Atoms 1. [Atom] -> [best platform/format]
## Drafts [platform-specific drafts] ```
Short-Form Video
Use the script structure from `./references/short-form-video.md`.
Quality Rules
  • The first line must earn attention without clickbait.
  • Each post should work without hidden context.
  • Prefer specific examples over generic advice.
  • Avoid external links in the body for LinkedIn/X unless the user wants traffic more than reach.
  • Include a clear next action when the content is meant to convert.
  • Keep claims supportable and avoid regulated or overconfident language.
  • Do not optimize only for likes. Tie social content back to qualified audience signals, site traffic, lead capture, or learning quality when possible.
Reference Files
  • `./references/platforms.md` - platform strategy and format fit.
  • `./references/platform-limits.md` - character counts and limits.
  • `./references/post-templates.md` - hooks and reusable structures.
  • `./references/reverse-engineering.md` - how to analyze viral or competitor content.
  • `./references/short-form-video.md` - TikTok/Reels/Shorts hooks and scripts.
